The Bible teaches that the same fountain sendeth not...

Fullerton (Cal.) Tribune

The Bible teaches that the same fountain sendeth not forth "sweet water and bitter," and this is good logic. That Christian Science has done good for countless thousands is an incontestable fact. These benefits are the most comprehensive known since the days of primitive Christianity, and are physical, moral, and spiritual. It must follow, therefore, that if Christian Science brings forth these good fruits, it cannot be used to bring forth any other kind of fruit. Any attempt to do so, or to encourage the so-called power of human will, is a perversion of Christian Science, and the polar opposite of its cause and effect. No matter what you call it,—evil thoughts, animal magnetism, or what not,—any endeavor to work ill to one's brother is nothing more or less than a phase of hypnotism. Any endeavor to influence any person without his knowledge and consent is in the same category.

Christian Science and hypnotism are opposites, and Christian Science stands as a law of annihilation to hidden evil works. It goes below the mere surface of things and destroys everything that "worketh abomination, or maketh a lie." The world in general is coming to recognize the good fruits of Christian Science, and to appreciate the fact that not since the days of the Master has there come to this world, either by way of philosophy or religion, that which so fully and concisely works for the destruction of all evil as does Christian Science.
