I wish to express my deep gratitude for the many blessings...

I wish to express my deep gratitude for the many blessings which I have experienced through Christian Science. Some two years ago I heard of it through a sister-in-law. I was a small tradesman and at the time was struggling with difficulties and cares. When I started a business of my own

I was quite successful, but through so-called "good friends" I got into the habit of hanging about bars, and allowed this habit to take such hold on me that my workshop gradually ran down, and I was without work and hardly able to supply the daily needs of my family. My nerves were shattered through drink, and my wife was obliged to put me into a sanitarium.

While shut off from the outer world, but not from God, it suddenly dawned upon me how much good I had already experienced through divine Love. I am most grateful to the Christian Science practitioner, who worked indefatigably during all this time, for through her efforts I have experienced the power of Truth in every way. I used to be irritable, but I now go to my workshop with the love of God in my heart. God's goodness and omnipresence have furnished me with plenty of work and with a home in which harmony reigns. Next to God, I am grateful to our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for the blessed revelation of God and man.—Hermann Gnauck, Dresden, Germany.
