I wish to testify to the power of divine Love to deliver from evil. On May 30, 1910, my son and I started to attend the Memorial day exercises, and met an automobile coming over a rise of ground quite swiftly. Our team was frightened,and tried to turn around so suddenly that one horse fell down, then the other one fell over him and neither was able to rise. My son jumped out, and the five men who were in the automobile came to our assistance. They tried to take the harness off the horses, but they had to move one of them before they could do so, which they did by throwing a lasso over his hind feet. Both were strong young horses and might have kicked and done much damage to themselves and the carriage; but to the surprise of all they kept perfectly still till the harness was removed, then they got up very quietly, and it was found that they were entirely unhurt, and did not even seem excited. Nothing was broken, and we soon were on our way.

The men in the automobile said it certainly was a miraculous escape, but Christian Science teaches us that God is Love and God is All, and that if we put our trust in divine Love, we shall be delivered from evil.
