It is with grateful acknowledgment of the help received in Christian Science, that I write this testimony of God's love to me and my family. Over seven years ago, my mother, who had been healed by Christian Science of a condition which materia medica could not relieve, resigned from the church of which she was a member to become a Christian Scientist. Since then each of her four boys and four girls has been benefited by the understanding of Christian Science. My oldest sister was the second to experience the beneficial effects of Christian Science. She was healed of nervousness which for more than three years had kept her from school, although during this time medicine was continually administered to her, but without avail.

A year or so after my mother's healing, I had chills and fever, accompanied by discouragement and hopelessness. I was for one month under medical treatment, with no sign of relief,—in fact, I grew worse. Finally, refusing to take more medicine, I turned to God for life and health. In two treatments I was completely healed of all physical ailments, and more than this, there was awakened within me a desire to be better. God has been good to me in many, many ways since that time, therefore my heart is full of love and gratitude to Him for leading us "into the land of Christian Science, where fetters fall and the rights of man are fully known and acknowledged" (Science and Health, p. 226). I also thank God for our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, because her life is full of good works.
