For two years I was in bondage to severe illness, recovering for a time only to plunge deeper into pain and its attendant mental despair. Then Christian Science was brought to me by a lady, who daily read and ministered to me until I was able to make a journey from home and do many things which were thought impossible before. I am deeply grateful to God for this new understanding of Life, which I feel has delivered me from being placed in a sanitarium, where I should no doubt have been now were it not for the power of Truth.

I feel it has been an act of ingratitude on my part that I have not sooner expressed through the Sentinel my deep and heartfelt thanks for what Christian Science has done for me. Over five years ago I came to it for physical healing, and since then I have taken no medicines, nor had a doctor, though before that time I was rarely a week without the former, and I was constantly having medical attendance and going to "waters" for my health.
