Stand bold for peace, for love and truth,...

Stand bold for peace, for love and truth,
For these against the world contend;
But be thou careful not to lose
What thou art zealous to defend.

While thou dost plead for peace and love,
Let peace and love thy life control;
While valiant in defense of truth,
Make truth the armor of thy soul.

Yea, for the worthy cause of truth
Stand firmly, 'mid reproach and shame;
Yet calmly state thine argument,
And let thy practice teach the same.
