In November, 1908, when Christian Science found me, I had been very sick and confined to my bed for over a week, and I had been ailing for some time. My husband called a doctor, and he pronounced it a serious case. He said he would do all he could, but did not have much hope for me; and I had none for myself, thinking that my time had come. A friend then told me of Christian Science, and I made up my mind to try it. The medicine prescribed by the doctor seemed to distress me, so I decided that I would not take any more of it. We sent for a Christian Science practitioner, and with the first treatment I was able to sit up in bed; the second day I was up and dressed, and after a few more treatments I ate and slept well, which I had not been doing for some time. Many other ailments from which I had suffered have also been gradually disappearing, among them a bowel disorder with which I had been troubled for years.
I hope this testimony will help some other poor sufferer, as I have been helped by those which I have read. I am thankful to God, and to dear Mrs. Eddy for the understanding I have gained in Christian Science, as well as for my healing, and I shall strive to learn more every day of this blessed truth.—Mrs. Jennie Davis, Beloit, Wis.
