A little more than three years ago I began the study of Christian Science. From early childhood I was a constant user of medicine, and scarcely a month passed without finding me confined to the house for a part of the time. As soon as the weather turned cold I would begin to suffer from severe throat trouble and cold in the head. For about eight years I was troubled with weak ankles, being scarcely able to walk. I wore braces which weighed five pounds each, and these made me very uncomfortable. I could get no encouragement as to a cure; experts said I would never be able to get along without braces. I was also a sufferer from a stomach disorder and headaches, and I wore glasses; but I was healed of all these troubles through the reading of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, and other Christian Science literature.
I certainly feel that I have been lifted out of the greatest bondage. I have been healed of kidney trouble, rheumatism, etc., with very few treatments. Other members of my family also have been greatly benefited through the study of Christian Science. For all of these blessings I am deeply grateful to God, and to Mrs. Eddy for giving us Science and Health. This little verse from 2 Samuel has been a great help to me: "God is my strength and power: and he maketh my way perfect."
