An audience of over one thousand persons attended the opening services of First Church of Christ, Scientist, Twelfth and Felix Streets, yesterday morning [July 21].
Two years ago at this very time, God sent to me the wondrous message of Christian Science.

After suffering fifteen years under medical treatment, I was healed in Christian Science.

From my earliest recollection I had never been free from pain for a single day.
In 1896 my daughter was suddenly seized with severe pain in her foot, attended by swelling and inflammation.
I had believed from childhood that I had inherited bunions, and as I grew older they troubled me very much, especially at night after having been on my feet a great deal.
I first heard of Christian Science in 1887.
Knowing as I do that I have so much to be thankful for, and that through Christian Science my life has been saved, I want to tell it to all I can reach.
Gratitude impels me to write a few lines in acknowledgment of some of the many benefits I have received from Christian Science.
The old story of coming reluctantly to Christian Science must be repeated here, for like so many others, I suffered my way into this liberating truth.
