EXTRACTS FROM A BUSINESS MAN'S CORRESPONDENCE

[The following extracts from letters were sent us for publication by Mr. Clarence H. Howard of St. Louis, Mo., he having received the writer's permission to do so. Mr. Howard writes that during the year following the second letter he had quite a correspondence with and a number of visits from Mr. Ford, which go to explain the wonderful transformation of thought so apparent in the third letter. He adds that this friend has since that time been "a very earnest, ardent worker in the Cause."—Editor.]

Postscript to a business letter written from Chicago, March 20, 1898:—

Dear Howard:—I understand Mr. H. is taking Christian Science treatment, and I am amazed at it. They will do him no good. They are fakirs, and I want you to use your influence to get him to stop this at once and let me send my doctor to him. This is important, and it is a shame to leave him in their hands, for they will let him die without giving him any medicine.
