Christian Science has blessed me in so many ways that I feel I must express my gratitude to the Field. One year ago last May I went to one of the best oculists in Hornellsville, N. Y., to get some new glasses fitted to my eyes. He made a thorough examination, and said that there was no use trying to fit the left eye as it was in a very serious condition; that the other was also affected, but that he could fit a glass to that eye so I could see for a while, and was sorry to say that I was liable to be blind in a short time. But, thanks be to God, help was close at hand. I went direct from his office to see a Christian Scientist, who took my case at once. In three weeks I could see to read and sew, and I could read without glasses where before I could not distinguish one letter from another, the letters looking like straight black lines. I was also healed at the same time of a deformity which had developed when I was three years old. At that time I had a severe illness, and there was no physical growth for a year afterward; then the growth was not normal, one limb being two and a half inches smaller around than the other. Then, after fifty-seven years of such a condition, Christian Science healed me. When I made the discovery that the demonstration was made, that my limbs, feet, and hands were of the same length, and that the shrunken limb had developed to equal size with the other, it seemed as if I were standing in God's very presence, and I feel that I can never be grateful enough to God, and to dear Mrs. Eddy, our Leader and the Discoverer of this truth.
Miss Mary A. Foster, Bath, N. Y.
