I have been thinking for a very long time that I ought to send my testimony of what divine Love has done for me to the Sentinel. I love to read the testimonies that are published in our periodicals, and they are such a help when the claims of matter appear to come thick and fast upon us and our denials need to be strong and emphatic. I trust mine may help others who like myself are striving to reach the goal. About three years ago, while getting out of a bath-tub, I slipped and struck my right side against the side of the tub, hurting myself badly, as it seemed to sense. Soon after, my daughter asked me to walk down town with her, to which I assented, saying nothing to her of the trouble. The next day being Sunday, I walked to church and back, more than twenty blocks. It seemed as though I had received an internal injury, and for some time I could not turn in bed, but I never failed to walk to church and back. It was not a case of quick healing; it was slow but sure, the sense of injury gradually faded away into nothingness. Not long after this I injured my eye, but I never spoke of it to any one, and in two or three days the unpleasant sensation was entirely gone. Nearly two years ago I was taken at night with an attack of coughing and this continued every night for about two weeks; but it was overcome by the truth.

Besides these proofs, this past winter coughs, colds, and severe pains in my head have all disappeared under the light of Truth, as applied in Christian Science. So-called incurable disease passed away years ago, and for this I am more than thankful to God, and to our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for having given to us "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," as a guide to eternal Life. She is worthy of the respect and confidence of the whole world, and should be loved for all the good she has done and for all that her teaching has enabled us to do for ourselves and others.
