I was brought up in an orthodox church, but the time...

I was brought up in an orthodox church, but the time came when I was a great sufferer, with many ills, yet trying to be resigned to what my religion had taught me to be the will to God. While I was willing to suffer, I was also willing to trust mortal man for help, which the Bible tells us not to do, but I had a false sense of God. A lady called at my home one day, and seeing my condition asked me to read some Christian Science literature. I did so, and found a religion that gave me a true sense of God, as a present help in trouble. The more I read, the more I received; I found my ailments leaving, and I was free. A short time after this I was taken down with the grip. The only Science in the place was out of town, and as I seemed to be very sick, and not knowing enough to handle my own case. I called a doctor but received no help. I kept growing worse all the time, but the Scientist came home in a few days and was called to take the case. I was relieved at once.

This was twelve years ago, and Christian Science has been our only physician since that time. While we have gone through some sore trials, we have never failed to find that God is All in all. I am deeply grateful to God, and to our wise Leader for bringing us this truth. Science and Health has indeed been a "Key to the Scriptures," for through its teachings we have been able to find the truth which Jesus said should make us free.
