As I am always greatly benefited by reading the testimonies...
As I am always greatly benefited by reading the testimonies in the Sentinel, I send this, trusting that it may perhaps be a help to some one. About five years ago we received a telegram stating that my aunt was dangerously ill. and my sister and I, who had been in Science a little over a year, went to see her. On entering the house we found thirty-one of her relatives had gathered, expecting her to pass on at any moment. My sister and I asked if we might go in the room and talk to her. We found her apparently very near death. She told us the doctor had no hope of her getting well, and that she had given away all her things and told her dear ones what she wanted to be buried in. My sister and I calmly told her that she was not going to die; that God was her life, and that He did not make her sick; that He intends His children to be always well and happy. We also read the last chapter of Mark's Gospel to her three or four times, also passages from our text-book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy. In a short time we noticed a change in the expression of her eyes; she looked brighter, and talked differently. She rested better that night than she had done for some time. In a few weeks she was well, and said that she felt very thankful to us for our visit. She certainly was brought up from the grave by the voice of Truth.
I am indeed thankful for Christian Science; it has done much for me, and my little daughter six years of age relies on it for all her help. Thanks be to God, and to our dear Leader for her tireless labors of love. May God's richest blessings ever rest on her.
Mrs. Ada H. Culver, Wymore, Neb.
