I glean so much good from the Sentinel that I want my testimony to be counted with the thousands which are leading despairing ones from darkness to light. About ten years ago, when I was visiting relatives in Sheboygan, my mother and sisters mentioned Christian Science to me; but I scoffed at it, for I had heard that it taught that sickness was imaginary, so I did not want anything to do with it. Before I left, however, la grippe got me into its clutches. The night before my return home I was indeed badly off, but felt as if I must go home. On my way to the depot my sister and her husband persuaded me to see a Christian Scientist and take a treatment, which I did. I am glad to say the grip left me in a few days, also kidney difficulty and neuralgia, which had caused me a deal of trouble in years past. About six months later I took a week's treatment, which freed me from all my old complaints. On my return home I brought Science and Health with me, and began to study it. Before long I could see the light, and since then I have made many good demonstrations for myself and family, as well as for others. My wife and oldest daughter are with me in the work.
Tongue cannot express the gratitude I feel towards our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, who through love and self-denial has been able to bring health, happiness, and peace to mankind.—HERMAN KUETHER, Marshall, Wis.
