I have received substantial benefit of late through reading the testimonies in our periodicals, and the expressions of deep gratitude by those who have been marvelously healed as I have been. I was a helpless, hopeless invalid for five year, suffering from motor paralysis, and at all times during this period was desperately sick. The verdict of nineteen different physicians was that nothing could be done to cure me. Everything suggested was tried however, regardless of expense. There were three operations awaiting the time when I should gain sufficient strength to have them performed. That time never came. When Christian Science was first recommended to me I greeted it with joy, and accepted it at once. I was ten months under treatment; in the first three, absent treatment was given. Although I had been unable to walk for five years, I was healed by the truth. It is nearly eleven years since this occurred, and during this time I have been striving to live my gratitude by following obediently in the divine way, for there are no words sufficiently expressive to convey it to others.

Our revered Leader, Mrs. Eddy, has revealed the better hope whereby "we draw night unto God."
