I have been a resident of Syracuse, N. Y., for the past...
I have been a resident of Syracuse, N. Y., for the past nine years, and have been a trained nurse for the past six years. I suffered with constipation and stomach trouble ever since I can remember and was treated by four of the best physicians in this city, one of them a specialist, with no lasting benefits. I was operated upon for hemorrhoids caused by the constipation, but was not relieved of the latter, although the surgeon, who was the specialist above referred to, said I would be. Christian Science was brought to my attention about eighteen months ago and I decided to try it about six months later. I did so and was healed of both the stomach trouble and constipation in one treatment.
During the past year I have had perfect health, which has added to my general usefulness, and for all of this I feel grateful; but I feel more grateful for knowing the truth of God, which Jesus came to teach us, and which Mrs. Eddy, through Christian Science, is again teaching us.
Miss Jessie B. Calkins, Syracuse, N. Y.
