The Lectures

The Christian Scientists of Belfast, Ireland, have been very greatly encouraged by the success of the lecture delivered by Judge Septimus J. Hanna on May 5. They had taken for the purpose one of the largest halls in the city. There were about one thousand persons present, and the audience, which was a very attentive one, was largely drawn from the more intellectual and refined class. The lecture was introduced by Mr. Mann Harbison, a venerable elder of the Presbyterian Church, who performed his task in the kindliest spirit, and though he had been specially requested not to give a vote of thanks, he was so carried away by the lecture, that he rose at the close and said that he simply must thank Judge Hanna for coming so many hundreds of miles to give such a beautiful discourse.

The lecture has done much good and brought many interested enquirers to the rooms and service, and we are truly grateful for the great blessing these lectures always bring.
