I was a skeptic,—athirst in a desert land, when the "waiting harpstrings" of my "mind" (Miscellaneous Writings, p. 396), were touched by the gentle influence of the faithful and loyal Scientists of this place, and following the echo of the harmonious strain I came to the fountain of Life and there I am drinking. Through these instruments of divine Love a wandering child has been guided to the Father's house, and the prayers of honest Christian parents and many Christian friends have been answered.

Physical ills disappeared when I began the study of Science and Health, and although I am very young in understanding, error has been handled with beautiful results in our household. The dear friend who has patiently helped me all the way was called once when pneumonia presented itself, and I was conscious of the healing with her first treatment.
