The Christian Science Lectures Appreciated
We have had several lectures delivered in this city by members of the Board of Lectureship, and all have been greatly enjoyed, not only by Christian Scientists but by the masses of the people. It is very apparent to the careful observer that every lecture delivered by the members of this Board has assisted in preparing the people to understand and appreciate Christian Science, and this is proven by the steadily increasing numbers that attend these lectures, together with the favorable comments we hear afterwards.
A day or two after our last lecture one of our citizens, not a Christian Scientist, assured the writer he enjoyed the lecture very much, and said he could listen to such a talk every day for a week and not get tired. Another gentleman, who, like the first, was not a Christian Scientist, stated in substance, it was his conviction that within a few years, perhaps ten, Christian Science would heal a thousand cases of sickness where it heals one case now, and added that Christian Scientists are daily learning how to apply Christian Science more perfectly. Several times since, others have remarked how much they enjoyed our last lecture. These favorable comments, together with the increasing interest manifested, give ground for satisfaction and encouragement.
Words fail to express the gratitude of Christian Scientists for the work our lectures are doing, and it is very apparent much good is thereby accomplished for our cause.
