For something like fifteen years I suffered from an ulcerated stomach caused by dyspepsia. I tried every remedy that physicians prescribed or friends suggested. Finally, one physician was frank enough to admit that I could not be cured by medical treatment. In 1895 I went West in search of health, as I had tried everything except mountain-air and baths in the Great Salt Lake. These afforded no relief. Then I found what I had been many years searching for— true health; not the health which diseased persons seek through material remedies. Through a Christian Science practitioner I was healed in a few days; not weeks nor months, but within less than one week's time. The treatment also destroyed the taste for tobacco.

Previous to my healing I had repeatedly scoffed at Christian Science, and was with much difficulty induced to give it a trial. Since that time I have taken no material remedies, and have not even had an inclination to return to them, as I know that I have something more powerful than anything that ever can be invented by mortal man. In 1896 my wife and I took class instruction, and we have led many suffers to the light.

We have a family of three children, and have found Christian Science to be the best remedy for all children's diseases, accidents, etc. One of our boys a number of years ago fell out of an automobile and broke his collarbone, and was healed in a few days by Christian Science alone, the bone having knitted perfectly without the assistance of a surgeon.
