I united with a Christian Science Church over six years...
I united with a Christian Science Church over six years ago, and it is impossible for me to tell of the innumerable blessings I have received through the knowledge of eternal Truth gained during that time. I was healed of a hernia of thirty years' duration. I had been obliged to wear a brace constantly and endured great suffering, but Truth proved it all to be an unreality and I was freed from the bondage of error. Severe headaches and cramps of the limbs held to be hereditary are gradually but surely disappearing. I have laid aside glasses, which I had worn over twenty years, and can see well without them.
From a child I had attended another church and derived much comfort from my church connection, but when the higher thought in Christian Science dawned upon my consciousness, I felt I had found Truth indeed. Then came the struggle to break away from the lifelong associations and tender ties I had formed, and the doubts and fears that would arise, until I had put aside the old, and held steadfastly to the true and enduring in Christian Science.
I thank God for the spiritual understanding I have gained in Christian Science, and that He has guided our loved Leader to walk so closely in our blessed Master's footsteps. By her untiring devotion to God, suffering humanity is being led out of darkness into light, "and in Him is no darkness at all."—C. L. H., Brooklyn, N. Y.
