The Lectures
A public lecture entitled "Christian Science and the Freedom of Man," was delivered before a large and attentive audience at the Providence Opera House yesterday afternoon [May 31], by William P. McKenzie, C.S.B., member of the Christian Science Board of Lectureship of The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Mass. Mr. McKenzie was introduced by Mr. Gilbert C. Carpenter, First Reader of the church.—Evening Telegram.
About five hundred people assembled in City Hall last evening [June 2] to listen to an interesting lecture on "The Teaching of Christian Science" by Carol Norton, C.S.D., of New York, which was held under the auspices of First Church of Christ, Scientist, of this city. The speaker handled his subject interestingly and was listened to with deep attention by those present.
