Phenomenal Upspringing of Christian Science
Boston Globe
That the Biblical religion, known as Christian Science, whose Discoverer, Founder, and Leader is the Reverend Mary Baker G. Eddy, has successfully met materialism and answered the heart-hunger for a healing Gospel, is quite evident from its phenomenal growth.
The text-book of the denomination, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," by Mary Baker G. Eddy, was first published twenty-eight years ago. At the end of ten years this remarkable book had passed through fifteen editions of one thousand copies each. During the succeeding decade about seventy-five thousand volumes found eager readers. In the past eight years the demand has so increased that 285,000 have now gone forth on their reformative mission.
The growth of the denomination in New England and throughout the world has been in like geometric ratio.
