After so long a time, I desire to make public through our periodicals a little of what Christian Science has done for me.
At, or about the age of four years, I had scarlet fever, which left me with what the doctor called spasmodic asthma. As the years passed I grew steadily worse, until I had given up all hope of ever being well. I had tried a number of very able doctors, and nearly every known patent remedy, with never more than temporary relief. The last doctor seemed to help me for a while, but finally his treatment failed also.
About February of 1900 an uncle came to visit me, and he gave me his copy of Science and Health to read. I am glad to state that I at once caught a glimpse of the truth therein contained. Enough of the light immediately made its way into my consciousness to relieve me at once of many errors, such as stomach trouble, the tobacco habit, and the use of profane language.
