A Frank and Fair Rejoinder

Caro (Mich.) Journal

To the Editor,

"The plausible phases of Christian Science" presented by Mr. Kimball in his recent lecture in your city, seem to have disturbed the Rev. Mr. Springer, and he has rushed on to dangerous ground in assuming to criticise a subject of which his own testimony shows him to be entirely ignorant.

It would seem that he half suspected his weakness from his manner of disconnecting sentences from their context here and there in Mrs. Eddy's writings, and grouping the crippled expressions to suit his own fancy. I leave it to your readers if this is true criticism. Any one knows what the Bible could be made by such dissection.
