Some time ago my mother broke her wrist and collarbone

Some time ago my mother broke her wrist and collarbone. She is not a Christian Scientist but does not oppose the thought and is often helped by my impersonal work. The physician who set the broken bones wanted to administer chloroform, but she refused. Finally the physician remarked, that it was wonderful how she endured the pain of the operation. I knew it was Truth that did the work. The healing went on nicely, and it was to me a great help, to have demonstrated this blessed Truth, as it enabled me to go through the trial in a composed manner, which was foreign to my disposition, before I became a Christian Scientist. I look back and wonder if it was really I. The work was done through my reliance on God. Another demonstration is that of overcoming a sense of enmity against me by knowing that God is Love, and that "Love is reflected in love." I am truly thankful for Christian Science and for the good received through our publications.
