In the issue of your paper of April 12 you quote from the Chicago Tribune to the effect that Dr. Emil G. Hirsch, the eminent and scholarly Rabbi of Chicago, recently said, among other things:—

"I believe Christ cured. I believe Dowie cures. I believe Christian Science cures. But I don't think they are miracles. There is a great power called hypnotism. It is able to make people sick, and a thing that is able to make people sick should be able to cure them also.
