"Mother!"
It is a sacred name, conveying a thought of infinite tenderness to the human heart; but from the world comes a voice, not always kindly, not always courteous in its tones, pressing home this question, "Why do the followers of Christian Science, give to its Discoverer, Founder, and Leader, the title of "Mother"?
About twelve years ago when the grip was prevalent, I contracted the disease early in the fall of 1891, and it remained with me from that time until March, 1892.
Having many times received encouragement and helpful thoughts from the testimonials in both the Journal and Sentinel, I desire to send my testimony in grateful acknowledgment of what Christian Science has done for me.
