It is a sacred name, conveying a thought of infinite tenderness to the human heart; but from the world comes a voice, not always kindly, not always courteous in its tones, pressing home this question, "Why do the followers of Christian Science, give to its Discoverer, Founder, and Leader, the title of "Mother"?
My
heart is full of gratitude for the knowledge of Love that Christian Science brings to us.
It
has been proven to me many times since coming into Science that divine Love leads.
Recently
I was in the Santa Fe passenger station in Topeka, Kan.
The Truth does not come to all in a sudden sun-burst of illumination, as it came to Paul on that memorable trip to Damascus.
About twelve years ago when the grip was prevalent, I contracted the disease early in the fall of 1891, and it remained with me from that time until March, 1892.
Having many times received encouragement and helpful thoughts from the testimonials in both the Journal and Sentinel, I desire to send my testimony in grateful acknowledgment of what Christian Science has done for me.
I am very grateful indeed for Christian Science, and I would like to tell others something of what it has done for me.
Therefore, let us be patient, patient; and let God our Father teach His own lesson in His own way.
Real knowledge, like everything else of the highest value, is not to be obtained easily.
