Law and Order
The Christian Scientist knows that his God is a God of law and order.
One day, after I had returned from my school work, this question came up before me: What should be my standard of order, should there be any little irregularities in standing or sitting, in marching, or in the daily recitations?
My Bible lay on the table before me. I opened it, and turning to the twenty-fourth chapter of Numbers, I read Balaam's prophecy, and with the help of a few notes in explanation, I understand why Balaam could not pronounce a curse upon the Israelites.
