The good received, while working in shady paths, being called aside from the usual busy hours, urges me to send a word of grateful acknowledgment for the summer's holiday lesson.
These questions have repeatedly come to me. Am I courageously living for the good of the Cause of Christian Science? Do I cheerfully follow in the steps which Christian Science demands at any cost? Do I not at times admit a shade of compromise, thereby losing the clearer, higher step upward?
With a fuller realization of liberty,—that liberty which always means release from self-seeking,—I awakened with an earnest desire to strive more conscientiously for the good of the Cause.
