Grateful for Christian Science
I desire to give to the readers of the Sentinel my experience and healing in Christian Science, which seemed so beautiful and miraculous at the time, but I find it is the work of God's unfailing love, and not a miracle. Through the understanding of Truth this world was changed from sadness to gladness, and a life of suffering to one of health and peace and joy.
I suffered several years with eye trouble. At first I secured glasses, which I wore a few years and then the trouble came back with redoubled force. I then went to the best oculist in western New York and he performed an operation upon them and gave me glasses which I only wore a short time and then had them changed. I continued in this way until he said I need not come any more, as he could not do anything more for me. I had been advised to try Christian Science but I could not understand and was not willing to investigate until all else failed.
That was three years ago, and now I am able to tell others of God's love, and His ready help in time of trouble. I took treatment five weeks, and at the end of that time saw the light sufficiently to be able to help myself and family. The peace Christian Science has brought is beyond expression.
