Among the Churches
First Church of Christ, Scientist, Ithaca, N. Y., was organized September 3, 1901, with nineteen charter members.
In September, 1897, three ladies met in a private parlor in Ithaca to hold services Sunday mornings.
The number increased until in February, 1899, it became necessary to rent a public hall. One dollar per week was paid for use of this hall on Sunday mornings.
