Among the Churches
The Christian Scientists of this town who have been holding meetings and services here for about six years, the past few months as a Society, in the Town Hall, have now organized as First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Winchester, Massachusetts, having been duly incorporated under a state charter.
This Church is a branch of The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts—the Mother Church—the services being identical with that church, as is the rule with all the Christian Science churches throughout the United States, Canada, England, France, Germany, and other parts of the world wherever a church of this denomination is established.
A Sunday School for the children is held immediately after the morning service, and Wednesday evening meetings are also held in the same hall at half past seven o'clock, continuing for one hour, which time is largely given up to testimonies of those who have been healed by Christian Science, all testifying to a higher and clearer understanding of the Scriptures through this teaching.
