Several Cases of Healing
I am very thankful that I was placed where I could learn of this blessed Truth. Christian Science was first brought to my notice through healing. Five years ago the way was opened for me to receive class instruction by one of Mrs. Eddy's loyal students. Since that time Science and Health and all Mrs. Eddy's writings have been my constant study. Through understanding and realizing the nothingness of error and the allness of God (Good) I have been enabled to demonstrate over sin and sickness for myself and others, and have helped others to come into the understanding of the Truth.
I was called to treat a lady suffering from spinal meningitis. They had had a consultation of four physicians and the priest had prepared her for death. I stayed with her all night and read Science and Health, and treated her the best I could. In the morning she was entirely free from pain.
A gentleman was doing some work on a steam boiler and a piece of steel flew in his eye. He went to the hospital and the doctor took three stitches in the eyelid. He was in the hospital five or six days and the eye became so inflamed the doctors declared it would have to be taken out or he might lose the sight of the other. He sent for me to treat him. The pain left immediately. In a few weeks the eye was healed and he could see.
