Christian Science Again
Saturday Evening
Editor of the Gazette:—
In your issue of the 17th of March, you publish an article under the heading "The True and False," in which you state, in substance, that people are prematurely hurled to the grave through the ignorance of Christian Scientists, and that, "If a patient who might have been saved with proper treatment is allowed to die through their ignorance, they should be held to account."
One of the cases recently reported, and of which it was said, "The life might have been prolonged had a doctor been called sooner," had been afflicted with heart trouble for twenty years, when two good physicians said she had but a short time to live, but as a Christian Scientist, she lived five years thereafter.
