Thoughts for the Day
Less than two years ago, Christian Science was first brought to my notice. It was not because of physical healing that I accepted it, but because I saw it contained the Truth which I had so earnestly desired. When "Science and Health with key to the Scriptures' was put into my hands, the Bible became a new book. The promises were real, as I have been many times able to prove. Both physical and mental troubles have vanished before the understanding that God is All-in-all. My wife and I had the privilege of studying with one of the Mother's loyal students. I have received through the columns of the Journal and Sentinel many helpful lessons, and because of this fact I desire to give a few thoughts that were very helpful to me.
As I awoke one morning these words came to me, "Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee." Truly the Light had come into my life and it came through Christian Science as taught us by our dear Leader in Science and Health.
The next thought that came to me was, "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." Let the Light of Christian Science so shine in your daily life that others will see reflected there the divine Principle, Love, and so glorify the Principle through its idea.
