An Interesting Meeting

For several months past Christian Science has been occupying the attention of our people, because of the reports of some wonderful cures being effected through the assistance of Christian Science, which caused your scribe to drop in at a meeting last Wednesday, which happened to be what is called a testimonial meeting. The meeting was crowded and appeared to be devoid of any seriousness or the usual look to be seen at an ordinary prayer-meeting; on the contrary, everybody was social and wanted to impress every one that they were possessed of some particular kind of pleasure.
The meeting opened up by Mrs. Hatch reading a few selections from the Bible apropos to the text, "Ask and ye shall receive." She then read from the text-book, Science and Health, by Mrs. Eddy. A song followed and then began the testimonials.
Mrs. Hatch, the leader in the work here, testified how Christian Science had healed her. She spoke, in substance, as follows:—
