Prayer for the global economy

Live audio chat with Kevin Graunke, C.S.B.

Today's economies around the world are so interlinked that if something good (or bad) happens in one country, it can affect other nations as well. In this inspiring chat Kevin tells how prayer can uplift our individual "economies," as well as those on the national and international level. He says economic stability and progress are about "living a spiritually based life that's focused more on giving, more on healing, rather than on just accumulating more financial wealth for ourselves. Focusing on the truth of God's abundant love for us really does help to bring lasting guidance," says Kevin. This spiritual approach lifts our thought higher and shows a path to security for all people.

Site visitors brought questions about small businesses, challenges to women's rights, and other conditions such as grief over the need to lay off valued employees. Kevin shares out of his own experience in addressing questions about how to overcome fear, unemployment, greed, and also the apathy that ignores the problem because it is "too big" to pray about. He makes clear that there is a spiritual solution and that nothing is too big or too small for prayer.
