THE VICTOR

He lifts his lyre on highIn the heavy stillness around; He lifts his lyre on highAnd smites it in fervent emotion,Singing with sweetness new-found.

THE UNSPOKEN PRAYER

There is a prayer of thanks no child of earthCan voice in words.

RECOMPENSE

My hands that were reaching so eagerly outHave closed on the hilt of a star;My eyes that were scanning the waters of doubtHave visioned the harbor afar.
