Flow on

Flow on, my life; flow singing like a stream,Braving the rapids and the waterfallsTo seek the beauty that forever callsBeyond the bend.

Freedom

No shackles can be placed on graces of the mind,Nor fetters ever bind an action that is kind.

Our Reading Room

A quiet resting place, a haven sure,Where wanderers may come and rest secureBeneath the shadow of His mighty wing,*And listen for the song the angels sing.

Prayer

To learn the truth concerning God and man,And with this truth in mind, if need be, standUnwavering, with pure triumphant faith,Through days or even months of strife, or faceWith undisturbed serenity and calmApparent victory of sin or wrong,And with assurance say, Thy will be done,Because you know His perfect law of loveCannot be mocked—to silence self and fear,And wait in peace His way and hour—is prayer.

Love is Nigh

I know no darkness if the light of LoveIllumines me;I am not fearful what the years shall proveWhen I can see,Reigning beyond this present sense of wrongThe eternal right,As certainly as I await each mornAfter the night.

From Church

The demand for church

Looking Up

Each day through countless little tasksI walk with strength and joy;No unkind words, no thoughtless acts,Have power to annoy.

Unfoldment

He worshiped at Minerva's shrine, and drankFull deep at the Pierian spring.

Omnipresence

There is a quiet hush at early mornBefore the noises of the day are born,When skies grow pink; a little wandering breezeJust stirs the branches of the nodding trees; While through the gentle quiet may be heardThe morning note of some new-wakened bird.

Babylon (The Gate of God)

Oh , weary ones who sit by rivers full of memories past,Your gladness fled, your hopes seem dead, your tears are flowing fast,

No Night

Here in the clear sweet morning lightWhere are the cares that thronged the night?

Revelation

To-day I faltered; But Love placed beside my handA rose,That I might touch the petals,Breathe its fragrance,Rich with a message from His garden fair.
