LO! IT IS CHRISTMAS

Do we today,As long ago,Fill up the inn,Our consciousness,With fretted careAnd worldly din,So when Christ knocksThe keeper calls,,"No room within"?

I was spending my days in confusion,In hurry, in worry, in fright,A slave with my tasks never ending,A slave with no respite in sight,

THE ANSWER

Though the answer tarries, coming,Though the way seems rugged, long,Love will lead to Truth's clear dawning;Love will make the heart a song.

MY PRAYER

Grant, Father-Mother God, that I may smileWhen to some fearful thoughtThat smile brings courage,Hope.

Did you but know yourself as God's own child,There would have been no reasonFor you to say, "I have no home.

PRAY FOR THE WORLD

Pray for the world again, and yet again;Pray for the world of menWith gratitude for good already gained,For health and peace attained.

AT A LECTURE

Gazing intently, the people listenedWhile a man talked to them about GodAnd His law of healing and love.

STRAIGHT FROM GOD

Each noble, loving thought comes straight from God,Imbued with all the majesty and might.

LOVE

If I were gifted with such eloquenceI should be classed with the chief orators,yes, if my voice for sweetness were comparedTo the sweet tongues of angels, and could holdCrowds spellbound with its magic, what of thatIf I should not have love, the crowning grace?
