You, too

Go, and do thou likewise.
—Luke 10:37

Jesus, moved with compassion,
fed and healed and blessed,

and like those disciples
who have gone before—
you, too,
childlike in your hope, seek
to lay a foundation
of Christly compassion,
to discover what it means
to love God with all your
heart-mind-soul-strength;

you, too,
can see yourself
as God sees you,
love yourself
as Love loves you;

you, too,
standing on this rock
are empowered to be
moved with compassion
to feed, to heal, to bless
in the name, the power,
the presence of the Christ.

Yes—you, too,
in your child-heart trust,
can go and do likewise.
