Loved this article

[Herb Jung, “ ‘Getting right yourself’ and the widow’s mite,” Sentinel, November 16, 2020]

I loved this article and got so much out of it. The author’s mother’s experience in relation to the story of the widow’s mite would have been enough, but then his own tale of losing the envelope with his wedding gift added even more.

My time of need

[Betty Jean O’Neal, “Enough employment and provision for everyone,” Sentinel, November 16, 2020]

This article about God’s provision provided a firm foundation in my time of need and contemplation over world unrest. I loved the statement “Yet Jesus knew that regardless of the problem, whoever trusts in omnipotent God, divine Love, need not fear, because Love never fails us.” Thank you for this uplifting article.

New perspective

Thank you for “Rethinking ‘menial’ tasks” by Gay Bryant Flatt (Sentinel, November 9, 2020). It was encouraging, and I enjoyed the examples given—especially the quotes from Mary Baker Eddy. The idea of striving “to please God” gave me a new, helpful perspective.
