My first interfaith experience

“You want me to do what?” was my response when a friend in a nearby town asked me to speak on an interfaith panel for an event at the public library called, “A Day of Spiritual Awareness.”

“It’s just a ten-minute talk,” she said. “We thought you could speak about Christian Science from your perspective as a Christian Science nurse.”

Well, there it was. How could I say no to this opportunity to let people know about all the good that had come into my life through the study of Christian Science and my work as a Christian Science nurse? I knew in my heart that it was really God calling me to share. How could I say no to God? But I wondered where to begin. How was I going to compress all of Christian
Science and my own lifetime of experience with it into ten little minutes?
