Letters
This letter is long overdue, as I am a life-long Christian Scientist and have been reading and benefiting from the Sentinel and other Christian Science publications all during that time.
I carry several Sentinels with me when I travel, to read and share. This week while in Florida, I was finishing the October 11, 2010, issue, when Thomas Mitchinson’s article, “Are you a spiritual revolutionary?” just jumped out at me because of the past 18 days of revolutionary events in Egypt. I had read the article before, praying with the thoughts presented, but eagerly read it again to gain further insight to prayerfully support the people of Egypt in their historic transition to democracy.
Mitchinson writes: “The same divine wisdom that guided King Solomon millennia ago can guide all governments today.” One of the most powerful prayers anyone can make on behalf of government is to recognize that intelligence and integrity are spiritual qualities given to each of us by God. This is true about all people.
Enjoy 1 free Sentinel article or audio program each month, including content from 1898 to today.
