In God’s spotlight
Do you want to be a star? Surprise—you already are! You are the lead in God’s divine production, titled “LIFE.”
When the Bible states, “Thy light is come” (Isa. 60:1), it means to me that God’s spotlight is shining upon each of us. We have already been cast.
No one else can take our place. Just as each star in the sky, we can fill only the space that God has uniquely designated for us. As we sing in a hymn, “In Him we all are living” (Frederic W. Root, Christian Science Hymnal, No. 10). God gives us life, and the infinite possibilities and opportunities with which to fulfill our divinely established purpose. Just as the star in the sky shone for the wise men to see, we too are shining with God-given promise. We are each poised to bring to fruition the talents that God has already bestowed. All we have to do is let our light shine.
