I do so appreciate the search box in the upper right corner of spirituality.com’s home page. Recently when I typed in the word “quiet,” among the articles that appeared were: “God-centered stillness,” by Sara Hoagland Hunter in the June 9, 2008, Sentinel, and “Quiet moments alone with God,” by Barbara Vining in the September 6, 2010, Sentinel. They were perfect for me, and to pass on to others searching for guidance on how to “quiet thought.”
And a big Hallelujah! for the editorial, “One cause, one outcome,” in the November 22, 2010, Sentinel warning of the dangers of worshipping other gods—for example, “the view that political points of view are more important than prayer.”
