Praying about church helps and heals
One day I’d spent quite a bit of time reading through some citations from the Bible and Mary Baker Eddy’s writings, citations my Christian Science teacher had asked us to look at after our yearly association meeting. I also did a few things around the house, including mopping the floor.
Later in the evening, when my husband and I were on our way to dinner, I noticed that my back was hurting and uncomfortable. At first some thoughts came to mind about how long I had been mopping the floor. My thoughts were running the gamut on what might be the “cause” of this discomfort.
On the heels of this came the quick realization that I didn’t have to put up with it. I had just been provided with every tool in the spiritual arsenal through my reading. Why didn’t I put these tools to good use?
