Fearless on the balance beam
I have loved doing gymnastics since I was four years old. I practice gymnastics 12 hours a week at a gym.
One day at practice I was jumping from the low bar to the high bar on the uneven parallel bars. I missed the bar and fell on my neck. I was scared, and it hurt a lot. I went up to my mom in the parent waiting area, and she comforted me by telling me about God's love for me and God's protection of me. Soon my neck felt better, but I was still scared of jumping to the high bar. The rest of the competition season last year I had to scratch from bars in each meet.
At the beginning of this year I told my Sunday School teacher about being afraid to jump to the high bar, and she told me that God's hands were between the bars. I liked to think about how God's love was there to "catch" me if I fell.
